From next month, the electricity department will impose sanctions to subcontractors that have not adapted their gas connections of the industrial category to the category of non-nationals. Energy distribution association Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has set a deadline of April 30, Al l BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) companies to voluntarily convert such a connections and pay the consumption rate as the loan rate fixed for non-domestic users.
DHBVN officials stated the department has been costing revenue as the rate per unit energy consumption in the industrial category is less as opposed to the commercial grades.
Gurgaon BPO has about 250 small, medium and large that were previously classified as industrial.
The consumption rate per unit of electricity in the industrial category is Rs 4. 28 additonally commercial consumers are charged at a rate of 4.68 rupees per unit.
Some BPO (also famed as guidelines technology enabled services (ITES) units) still have electricity connections in the industrial category, a DHBVN spokesman said here on Wednesday.
The spokesman said, according to the industrial and Investment Policy 2011 of Government of Haryana, non-domestic rate applies in the case of ITES units reported by the government.
Consequently, consumers are responsible for punishment.
However, the department had made an selection for consumers to get the connection status has changed to April 30 giving program for change of status in the respective offices DHBVN.
In accordance with the procedure, the consumer must submit a new application and agreement form duly wound up along in on customer safety, handling fee at current rates and the revised test report.
As the consumer has to be legal occupants of the premises, sign of ownership / lease / rent endeavor plans to too be reviewed.
There should be no outstanding against the consumer.
The DHBVN believed the applicants also must undertake non-judicial stamp paper that would be responsible to pay assessments in the evaluation stage and pay back legitimately.
The officials concerned sub-divisions and executive engineers are competent to make the adjust of category.
The category will be changed within seven days of the filing of the application with all relevant documents.
