Indian University Announces Diploma in Knowledge Management:


The Department of Futures Studies at the University of Kerala has launched a postgraduate course of one year Diploma in Knowledge Management (PGDKM).

A group of people with experience of industry and university faculty would be the course, which will be launched under UGC Innovative Programme.

The total course fee is 19,555 Indian rupees.

Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) Services, KPO is estimated to reach 50 billion USD in 2012, according to a global market research and intellectual property services firm Evalueserve.

Of these 50 million, 70 percent would be outsourced to India, says research firm in an article ibnlive.in.com.

Those attending this course will benefit from training in the area of ​​knowledge to be easily absorbed into their respective companies.

One has to ensure a minimum 55 percent marks in any of the following degree streams: Engineering / Technology, Medicine, Graduate Studies and Applied Sciences.

Candidates selected for admission will be evaluated based on performance in the level of qualification and proof of access.

Once students gain admission to this college you will be trained in software tools of knowledge engineering. Furthermore, in both theory and practical sessions are offered to students as part of the course.

Equal weighting would be given for the qualifying degree and entrance examination, which shall consist of multiple choice questions to assess the ability of the applicant in various fields, such as databases, data interpretation and analysis, logic and reasoning, understanding and general knowledge.
