2G spectrum:2G case hearing affected by lawyers' strike

Hearing on the case of 2G spectrum allocation in a court of New Delhi was affected on Wednesday as a strike by lawyers.

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Judge OP Saini Special Instructor, who was scheduled to hear arguments Balwas Asif, director of Fruits and Vegetables Kusegaon Iberia. Ltd., to postpone the hearing until Thursday.

Shortly after the show started, a group of lawyers came into court and asked the judge to postpone the hearing.

According to the Supreme Court order, the case is supposed to listen daily.

Lawyers in all complexes of six district court here went on strike to protest the arrest of anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare Tuesday.

Balwas earlier told the court that the agency probe is joined in two separate cash transactions - one based in Dubai between Etisalat and Swan Telecom and another, between a Kusegaon Realty Dynamix - to prove their case.

He continued his argument for the defense Thursday.
