Steve Landesberg: Steve Landesberg, who played 'Barney Miller' detective, dies

Steve Landesberg, a comic actor who played the intellectual Detective Arthur Dietrich in the long-running ABC sitcom "Barney Miller," has died. He was stated to be 74.

Landesberg died the first part of Monday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, assumed his agent, Jeff Leavitt. No force was given.
