President Barack Obama on Sunday announced a last-minute deal to raise the U.S. borrowing limit and prevent a catastrophic default and he urged officials to "do the right thing" and approve the agreement.

 Stephen Pittari receives Service Award of Justice:
Stephen J. Pittari, recently retired chief counsel and executive director of the Legal Aid Society of Westchester County, received the 2011 Service of Justice for the New York State Defenders Association on July 25 in Saratoga Springs.

Pittari was recognized for his dedication not only to clients of the office, where he spent his career as a lawyer, but the principle that all customers of public defense should receive respect and quality representation.

Beginning as an associate of the Legal Aid Society of Westchester County, Pittari developed a reputation as an excellent lawyer, and became head of the office. As the main advocate, NYSDA member - who joined the Association in 1983 - and member of the NYSDA Board, Pittari looked beyond Westchester County, and participated in the efforts of many designed to improve public defense services New York State, including efforts to secure necessary public defense of state funding. 2G scam Raja latest news:2G transactions known to PM, Chidambaram

Transactions in the allocation of 2G spectrum is known that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the then Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, former Communications Minister A. Raja alleged Monday.

Raja Council told the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Special Trial Judge OP Saini that his client had done nothing wrong in its decision not to auction 2G spectrum and was simply following the policies pursued by his predecessors and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.

"The decision to increase the limit on foreign direct investment (FDI) from 49 to 74 percent was a cabinet decision of prime minister who was a part," said lead counsel Sushil Kumar, appearing for Raja.

"The issue (of the sale of shares by the holders of spectrum licenses) was discussed between Prime Minister and Finance Minister then," was presented.

"The then Finance Minister, who is now interior minister, had said to the Prime Minister that the dilution of the shares does not amount to a sale of 2G licenses as company law," said Sushil Kumar.

Council Raja said that if my client was being prosecuted for following a policy, then all the telecommunication ministers since 1993, are set to be processed, and also followed the same policy.

"If the policy followed by Raja was wrong, then all the former ministers of telecommunications since 1993, must report to jail," said Sushil Kumar.

"As Minister Arun Shourie telecommunications distributed 26 licenses, while Dayanidhi Maran and Raja distributed distributed 25 122 licenses," he said, adding that the numbers made no difference.

Would note that none of the spectrum auction, he said.

"If they had done nothing wrong, why am I being questioned? We deny that they had not done what I did. I was following the cabinet decision of 2003, which is auctioning of 2G spectrum. If I'm following the law I am not capable of being processed. In fact, they should be rewarded, "said Raja.

Raja's defense, his lawyer said that because of its policy of mobile phone call rates came down.

"The CBI, however, maintains that when DB Realty gave their actions (in Swan Telecom) to bring the money, which amounted to the sale and that is the case of Unitech (Wireless). However, when Tata Tele services gives up its efforts to attract foreign direct investment, which, according to the CBI, not to sale, "said lawyer Raja.

'Telenor buys a stake in Unitech Wireless and Etisalat to buy a stake in DB Realty - Minister of Finance approved it in the presence of the Prime Minister. Let the PM denied it, "he said.

CBI on Saturday concluded his arguments on the indictment in the case of 2G spectrum phone.

Fourteen defendants and three companies are accused of causing a loss of Rs.30, 984 crore to the exchequer by selling the scarce resources, also called radio frequency that helps move telecommunications signals, a cheap private players.

Raja, who was arrested Feb. 2 for their alleged involvement in the scam 2G, Monday began his arguments against the accusations of fraud, forgery and criminal conspiracy against him.

Accelerates:Display Market Outsourcing Accelerates

Screen-sourcing strategies are increasingly evident, not because technology is better screen resolution. LG Display, according to reports from The Wall Street Journal, today announced its second quarter net profit fell 96 percent from a year ago. How recent moves by the panel of manufacturers Toshiba Corp. (Tokyo: 6502) and Sharp Electronics Corp. makes sense: The display market is bottoming out.

Last week, Toshiba sold one of its LCD manufacturing plants to Compal Electronics, in an effort to modernize its supply chain for LCD. Also last week, Sharp and Foxconn announced it would establish a joint venture for the purchase of LCD TV panels and components. Although iSuppli market research firm IHS said that prices of LCD TVs in the U.S. rose in June, world prices are falling and panel manufacturers have struggled to maintain profit margins. The result, says iSuppli analyst Wu Juffrey IHS in a press release will be the increased outsourcing of manufacturing of panels:

The continued growth of the LCD TV industry over the last couple of years, despite the economic crisis has further intensified the competition between brands of television and contract manufacturers. However, even in the midst of this growth, prices have fallen, causing profit margins to decrease and leading brands to increase outsourcing to achieve greater cost efficiency.

While Toshiba maintains that it is out of the LCD manufacturing market, selling its plant in Mexico to Compal's outsourcing agreement. Toshiba will continue to power the plant and said the sale is to increase efficiency in its acquisition of the local panel. The panels supply facilities in Mexico to end products for the Americas, Toshiba said EBN.

Deepen global strategic partnership:India, US commit to broaden, deepen global strategic partnership

India and the U.S. agreed on Tuesday to take steps to broaden and deepen their global strategic partnership while recognizing the achievements of the two governments since the first bilateral strategic dialogue held in Washington in June 2010.

A joint statement issued by the two sides after the second US-India Strategic Dialogue held here reflects the progress made.

Foreign Minister, SM Krishna and visit U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton met today in New Delhi and agreed to defend the interests of the two countries share.

As a testament of extraordinary breadth and depth of the relationship, Secretary Clinton was accompanied by the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, Adviser to the President for Science and Technology Dr. John P. Holdren, DOE Assistant Secretary Daniel Poneman, Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Jane Holl Lute, and other senior U.S. government officials.

Krishna was accompanied by the Vice President of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Infrastructure of Public Information of the Prime Minister and Minister for Innovation Sam Pitroda, Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and other senior officials.

Krishna was also joined at the working lunch with the Minister of Interior, P. Chidambaram and Minister of Human Resource Development and Information Technology Kapil Sibal.

During his visit, Clinton also met with Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, the President of the United Progressive Alliance Sonia Gandhi, the Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj, and advisor National Security Shivshankar Menon.

Clinton offered his prayers and condolences to the victims of the despicable attacks in Mumbai on July 13. The American people are with the Indian people in times of trial and offer support to India's efforts to bring the perpetrators of these terrible crimes to justice.

Krishna welcomed the expressions of support for Clinton, Obama and the U.S. Congress. The two leaders resolved to strengthen cooperation between their governments to fight terrorism.

Both sides agreed that strategic dialogue since the inaugural in 2010, the alliance between India and the United States has resulted in advances in almost all areas of human endeavor. joint statement said the two sides have expanded their strategic consultations to cover all major issues and regions.

It was mentioned that India and the United States has intensified its cooperation against terrorism, intelligence sharing and exchange law.

The statement also said both countries have continued to expand their defense cooperation. They have expanded their partnership growing export controls and nonproliferation. They have witnessed a robust expansion and the people ties, scientific, space and technological cooperation, cooperation in clean energy, and the connections between social entrepreneurs and innovators.

The two leaders emphasized the values ​​of our countries share - pluralism, tolerance, openness and respect for fundamental freedoms and human rights. He reiterated Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the promise of President Barack Obama to exploit these shared benefits and expand the worldwide association of India and the United States for the benefit of their countries and for peace, stability and prosperity in Asia and the world.

Hexaware inks $177-million deal; stock up 5%

Hexaware Technologies Limited, a leading global IT, BPO and consulting services, announced on Monday that the company has secured a $ 177 million for business intelligence, analysis, infrastructure management and BPO. The contract will last five years.

Revenues from the operation is expected to accumulate in the coming quarters 4-6. The agreement was signed with a U.S. client exist. The agreement strengthens the position of Hexaware in a scenario of multiple vendors.

IBM BPO: IBM creates multilingual BPO facility

IBM Argentina and the Board of Investment (BOI) signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a training center for BPO multilingual workforce.

Management of the head Boi Cristino L. Panlilio said the project called "Mexico as the world leader in multilingual BPO" seeks to further improve the multilingual Filipino talent for BPO jobs.

Panlilio said that due to the installation, IBM hopes to increase its BPO operations in the country to 3,000 agents by the end of this year from the current nearly 1,000.

"The talent trained could find work in BPO companies with the need for foreign languages, but IBM is the largest recipient," he said.

Under the MoU, IBM will manage everything, while the BOI will only serve as a liaison officer.

The establishment of multilingual BPO facility in the country was in recognition of the fact that the number of multilingual local talent is three times the number of foreign multilingual talent.

Multilingual talents are mostly in sales activities do roles like customer service, document analysis, technical support and teacher.

IBM has the largest contingent of multilingual country with over 200 local talent across the border to support 15 languages ​​and the number will double in three years.

The project aims to increase the quantity and improve the quality of graduates competent in Nihonggo, French, German and Spanish.

The project also will link with the academy to standardize the tests of competence in all language courses in all schools with foreign language programs.

Having established a multilingual BPO talent group would further enhance the leadership of Spain in the BPO space.

European and Asia-Pacific countries are market growth potential for the talents of several languages.

Outsourcing: Cost Effective or Unrealistic Expecations?

Monday night, the Trenton Public Schools Board of Education voted to outsource the IT department. Although I do not think this vote came easily, the decision was not feeling well. Having been in the field as a professional for several years, outsourcing may not be as cost-effective a solution as mentioned above.

During the last Board of Education meeting I attended where representatives Plante & Moran to discuss the current technological improvements, none of the answers or questions to understand that this has been a smooth transition to the new network-based Windows. While it is a great project that will cause much frustration to receive the adulation with which the contract staff to replace the technicians in place for a change of this nature, sounds bad.

After experiencing the companies had no choice but to outsource their IT department, I have seen the challenges. What about the potential for overtime, weekends and nights? Can the cost of this contract, increase mileage similar to a rental car? External technicians may pick up and go to the end of their shift, regardless of the outstanding issues? Probably not, but we have no details yet.

In this industry, nothing goes as planned. What if the district requires 50-70 hours per week instead of 40 or even reports that bring another technician for larger projects? If outsourcing ends up costing the district closest to the IT department budget 2011-12, how profitable was this decision?

It was a mistake of the Board not to hear at least the department with their counterparts in the first proposal. On the contrary, made a motion to vote on the decision and addressed the public comments section of the night. While they may have had his reasons not to hear, first, it seemed unprofessional given their jobs were on the line.

Outsourced employees have the option of job interviews which opened as a result of the contract, but if the two technicians always through inaCOMP are acting in a "break-fix" model, where does this leave the three positions in the technology? In the tradition of the industry, the district could move on to experienced employees and hiring entry-level graduates in place.

As for the company, inaCOMP is a successful company with two divisions, one devoted to small and medium enterprises, while the other provides sales and service to education and government entities. They have been around for twenty five years and have a great reputation in the industry. They are not to blame for the submission of its bid.

While nobody's fault and districts worldwide are cutting back ends, some students and most teachers will be affected as well. The IT department's relations formed around the world, especially those that may have contributed to your own IT staff issues are important and appreciated. As a coach, not just provide a service, but customer service quality. It is always sad to see employees that seemed to have been well trusted for many years, letting go without a fight.

Infosys Q1 results in line with expectations

Not much has changed for Infosys in Q1. That is in line with market expectations and a bit better than guidance. Consolidated revenue is Rs 7485 cr and orientation of dollars in revenue has not changed much and is at $ 1.73 -1750000000. Infosys populations prices will not move significantly, experts say.

The Group has posted a net profit of Rs 17,220 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 as compared to Rs 14880 for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. Total Income has increased from Rs 64,370 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 to Rs 79,280 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.

Consolidated results under IFRS for the quarter ended June 30, 2011
- Revenues were Rs7,485 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011;
QoQ growth was 3.2%; YoY growth was 20.8%
- Net profit after tax was Rs1,722 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011;
QoQ decline was 5.3%; YoY growth was 15.7%
- Earnings per share (EPS) was Rs 30.14 for the quarter ended June 30, 2011;
QoQ decline was 5.3%; YoY growth was 15.7%


Others
- 26 clients were added during the quarter by Infosys and its subsidiaries
- Gross addition of 9,922 employees (net addition of 2,740) for the quarter by Infosys and its subsidiaries

Kris Gopalakrishnan:
We have seen overall growth of 3.5% YOY, 12000 recruitments, good customer traction, reorganisation is behind us and onsite volume growth 6.8%.

Bala:
We recruited 9,900 people, the full impact of wage increase has come into play.  We expect margins can decline by 2.5%,  and the net impact's hardly 4% as a result of the currency fluctuations. We are keeping Y-O-Y revenue guidance at 18-20% which is better than before. For Q2, Infosys expects 5% revenue growth. Customers are cautious about spending but are not reducing budgets as the economic conditions are uncertain.  So we are keeping the guidance same and we expect even growth across quarters.

Cognizant, Wipro lobbying US to ease visa rules

Lobbying has been a taboo for software companies in India a great success that tasteless activity was supposed to be the exclusive domain of those who seek to prosper from the licensing raj. And anyway, their markets were mostly abroad.

But now, at the home of free market capitalism, as their encounters with the disguised protectionism to grow more often, the word 'L' does not seem so dirty more. So while the U.S. keeps inventing reasons to make it more difficult for them to do business, many software companies in India are spending large sums to hire professional help to win friends and influence its main market.

At stake is more than $ 30 billion (1.3 lakh crore rupees) in business each year, about half of total revenues in India outsourcing. Among the companies mounting an aggressive public relations effort is Wipro, the third largest software exporter from India. Last year, it hired Melanie Carter-Maguire, a professional relationship with the government to launch a lobbying campaign in Washington DC.

Between January and March this year, Wipro spent nearly $ 60,000 (R 27 lakh) to lobby legislators and other officials on restrictive visa rules and policies that favor local businesses. Aware, which is based in the U.S., but employs over 80% of its staff in India, spent $ 350,000 during the first quarter of this year. Two years ago, hired Robert Hoffman, a regular Congress to direct their lobbying efforts.

Fake Wipro job racket busted, four arrested

A racket of work in which 37 lakh unemployed youths paid 1.8 rupees each for a consulting firm human resources after being deceived into believing he had achieved gainful employment in an IT company, Wipro Ltd, has been arrested following the arrest of four people.

The defendants were identified as Rajiv Ranjan (30) of Bihar, Mohammed Azar (25) hails from Andhra Pradesh, Sathya Priya (25) a resident of Tamil Nadu and Naryanana MN (29) from Kerala, according to Commissioner Bangalore Police Mirji Jyothiprakash BG.

Research on the basis of a complaint recommendation technology company, has revealed that the artists use with a placement agency called Lotus Consulting, led by a woman from Coimbatore, Sathyapriya to attract young people to interviews Wipro false labor.

Potential candidates were convinced in coughing up the money to work in Wipro through an elaborate scheme in which they were sent to meet the genius of the racket, Rajiv Ranjan, a native of Patna, the main campus of Wipro in Bangalore. Ranjan (30) had access to Wipro's main campus here with a valid and provider "candidates" are reported on campus with guest passes available to suppliers. Posing as the managing director of the company, Ranjan conducted interviews in a room on campus before making bogus offers of work.

Explaining his modus operandi, said Priya attract job applicants and gather documents and original certificates of them with the promise of working in Wipro in Bangalore.

The defendant then accompanied them to the campus of Wipro, which will organize a meeting with his accomplices, posing as Wipro staff. The defendant then would be responsible for an "interview" with a person posing as an employee of the division of human resource development of the company.

Mirji said the accused managed to enter the campus of Wipro for misuse of input cards issued by the company suppliers.

The defendant then deliver appointment letters to the victims for the position of trainee software engineers with an annual income of Rs 2.94 lakh. The forged letter also asked to report to Wipro in the month of September, he said.

The racket came to light when one of the victims suspected something amiss and alerted the police, after which each of the defendants were caught one after another in the last 15 days, Mirji said.

The band, all first offenders, had been running this racket for about 40 days and so far 37 people fooled, he said.

Police found the goods worth Rs 58.43 lakh cards, ATM cards, bread, gold ornaments, vehicles and double letter heads of the accused.

Three members of the band run their course and management were rated as well, police said.

The defendants were aware of the technology and also managed to reproduce the logo of Wipro in the heads of your letter. So far the police had drawn no connection with any employee of Wipro in the racket, but are investigating this view as well, Mirji said.
